We are having a winter “event” in Ontario today. The worst of it will be just to the North and East of us, but we did have some freezing rain this morning which made the school drop off interesting. It should turn to regular rain for the rest of the day but tomorrow it will be more snow. Bring on the tea and knitting. Don’t worry John, I’ll get my paperwork done first. Well, most of it. OK ….. some of it. I’ll catch up on Friday when it’s more boring when I look out the window.
As is usually the case with me, I’m working on several projects at the same time. Over the last two days, any knitting has been on two projects – the Pine Forest Baby Blanket, and the September Pillow. I’m still reading The Poisonwood Bible and my audiobook is through Craftlit – North and South by E.Gaskell. Joining with Ginny for the Wednesday yarn along. Isn’t lighting strange? This is really a white baby blanket, not yellow……
Love that knitting bag in the picture. Where did you get it?
~Anissa
Hi Anissa – thank you! It was a gift from a friend who purchased it from an Etsy shop here in Ontario, Canada. https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/zigzagstitches
Loved North and South on CraftLit! I hope you are enjoying it! It’s um… A much calmer read than PW Bible but there are elements of the social sphere that are also difficult to read.
What a lovely pattern on the baby blanket, maybe the colour was affected by the red bag nearby, you could try photos with a white pillowcase as background and see if that makes a difference for next time.
The pattern on the cushion looks chunky and cosy, I think it would make a great afghan or throw.
Hope you are keeping warm and cosy, we are recovering from a week of heatwave which also means not a lot happening outside unless you were quick very early in the morning (watering plants and making sure the bird baths were full )
I don’t have AC so no baking or strenuous cleaning happening here except for scrubbing out the shower……you are never too old to play under the sprinkler !
If the heat gets too much, I get a tall icy drink and watch “DAY AFTER TOMORROW “
Thank you Margo – I think you’re right about the red bag! I’m a little envious of your heat wave, I hope you enjoyed that nice cool drink 🙂
Wow, very impressive stitches, I’m more of a beginner with knitting.
Thanks Ivona, I’m a decent basic knitter who can cable and these patterns are very clear and well written with excellent instructions so I can pass on full credit to the designers!
Your work always looks so beautiful. Enjoy that cozy day inside knitting!
pretty knitting you got there. Love the stitch design and detail!
