I drink a lot of coffee. It’s my preferred beverage and I like it in many different forms. Americano, latte, short espresso, mocha etc. Β It’s rare for me to not have a cup at hand. So it doesn’t surprise me that I am drawn to stitching pieces that have a caffeine theme. My latest is Plum Street Samplers, “Beans, Beans”. It’s a refreshingly quick stitch and I hope to finish it up in the next few weeks.
I don’t think I have enough of the brown thread – it’s a CC “Dark Chocolate” to finish the design and will need to toss the stash and see if I can make do with what I can find. I think it’s a pretty close match to DMC 3371 but I haven’t had the nerve to check yet. I’m still half hoping to eek out what I have and play “thread chicken”.
How cute! My husband needs one of these, he’s a total fiend. π
Thread Chicken does sound daring π I hope you have enough to come to a grand finish! xx
Gracie – I caved and went and bought another skein… π
Haha- thread chicken. The worse is when you’re trying to use every last bit and it keeps unthreading from the needle because it’s too short to pass through the fabric.
I’m wondering what the rest of that little verse saysβ¦ I can only think of the beans rhymes that my kids like. π
LOL! Well, you’re on the right track – they are indeed a magical (musical) bean……
