Well, October happened, didn’t it? We were busy, as are most families with kids, but it was a great month. The weather was spectacular! For once it feels as though we’ve had a proper fall and not just leaped from summer into winter.
Our golden is really starting to show her age lately and I need to make a consistent effort to take her for more short walk to keep her limbs and joints in shape. Who am I kidding? I need it just as badly as her.
Stitching is a constant in my life, I’m a happier person and much nicer to be around (John knows full well…) when I make time every day to put a few stitches or rounds into something. These are two recent favourites, Northern Expression’s “Shades of Wine” and Nancy’s Needle design “Starry Skies”, a canvas piece that I have trouble putting down.
Until Christmas though, they are going to have to take a back seat to my Christmas knitting. Which, as you can see…..
hasn’t been going to plan. Eventually this will be a Scalene shawl for my SIL. Don’t worry, she never reads my blog and I made her unfollow me on Instagram until after the holidays 😉
I’ve missed this space, I hope to find my rhythm again with a more regular posting. I hope you are all well and enjoying time with friends and family. xo
You choose the most beautiful stitching patterns. I looove that blue star.
I miss stitching; my eyesight just doesn’t allow for it anymore. But at least I can still knit easily : )
Thank you so much, Laura!
That scarf pattern is beautiful, and the yarn you have is gorgeous!
I’ve missed you!!
The star pattern is fabulous, the colours really sparkle can’t wait to see it finished.
Good luck with sorting out the troublesome shawl pattern, hop it goes well so you can get some progress happening.
I’ve been in Sydney for a friends Birthday party, flew back home yesterday and am exhausted. They were sailing last night for a cruise to New Zealand so some last minute shopping was rather hectic.
By now you should be all settled back into the work, school routine until the holidays…..its so hard to focus on the mundane after faffing about in chill .out mode through the Summer
